National Institute of Education (NIE) constantly embraces new technologies so that her Staff and Student Teachers can explore and enhance their teaching and learning experience. The new wireless infrastructure has wider and denser coverage than the previous one. Computer Services Centre (CSC) introduces new wireless technology such as upcoming 802.11n (fondly known as 11n) that has a theoretical maximum bandwidth of up to 600 Mbps (megabits per second). In addition, 11n also promises better roaming experience and connection stability because it uses MIMO (multiple input multiple out) antennas which greatly reduce the error rates as compared to single antenna ones. Although NIE has the infrastructure ready, the evolution in the areas of knowledge, learning, teaching, applications and services is very much depended on her people. Below are areas which everyone can brainstorm and explore so as to reap the maximum benefits from this high-tech wireless network.
